Everyone wants to work from home. What better way is there to spend more time with your family while you earn money? You should know that there are tons of work-from-home jobs that you can do. You could go into marketing online or you could make money writing fiction from home.

Even though writing is not the most difficult industry to get into, you have to keep in mind that there are a few things you will have to learn in order to be a good writer. This is why so many writers go through some sort of course or have a degree in creative writing.

When you write fiction you must remember that it is something that cannot be learned. You have to have a natural talent for fiction stories. Many writers do not study writing for fiction purposes. They might just do a course to get the basic layout techniques and sentence structure.

One thing to remember before you get started is that many new writers make mistake in the formatting of their script, manuscript or play. There are specific format for all of these things, so doing a bit of research into the different format is recommended.

Once you got that down, or once you have completed a short course in creative writing you will need to decide on which area you want to go into. Do you want to write for kids, or adults? This will be your first choice.

You will then have to decide if you want to be in TV, film, books or theatre. Do you want to do short stories or full novels? Remember that you do not need to just choose one; there are many successful writers who have a good all round knowledge of all type of writing.
